The maps display as pink squares - can I fix this?

You may try and view a map and instead see large pink squares displayed on the map. You may be able to see the satellite images behind the squares, but there will still be no maps of fires. What's happening here is that the maps of fire, which are displayed as "tiles", are taking too long to download to your computer or device and the site displays a pink tile indicating there is no data available. This can occur if you are on a slow connection to the internet.
